  • Abstract
IPv6 proponents are now supporting the once-criticized network address translation technology to enable communication between the two technologies and allow for an orderly transition to IPv6. It could provide more than enough IP addresses for the exploding number of Internet-connected devices. The Internet protocol´s previous version, IPv4, could not do so.
