Abstract :
An interactive music composition support system is proposed, which helps users´ satisfied musical composition by their repeated performing of subjective evaluation toward candidate of musical pieces generated by the system. In this paper, brain wave information by using hand-held EEG device is applied instead of users´ direct manipulation of partial evaluation of musical pieces of the proposed system, in order to reduce users´ fatigue and extract unconscious and essential evaluation based on users´ Kansei. In this paper, a new method of extracting partial evaluation is proposed, which focuses the partially evaluated time from each users´ significant brain wave ranges of frequency. Evaluation experiments are performed and the validity of the proposed method is proved.
