Providing reliable electric service is a continuing goal of Pacific Gas and Electric (USA). The author describes how the expectations of the modern electric marketplace, and the issues brought on by aging equipment and infrastructures make this a challenge. Focus and commitment continue to be the key factors in achieving the desired result
