Abstract
This paper is a review of an audit of existing US local, county, state and federal laws, codes, ordinances and requirements regarding the environmental storage, handling, spill, containment and disposal of stationary lead-acid battery systems (SLABS). SLABS are extensively used for uninterruptible power systems and for providing facility emergency power supplies
