Abstract :
We propose and demonstrate a simple and effective CWDM metro/access network architecture using unidirectional OADM for optical protection in a hub/access-node single-fiber ring. This physical-ring/logical-star architecture provides greater simplicity over previous designs requiring bidirectional ADM.
