Abstract :
In this work, a numerical method based on the field consistent error minimizing technique has been presented for the calculation of potential or field distribution in partially filled containers. This method incorporates the local analytical solution for the interpolation polynomials in a coupled way. Hence at any interior point of any element, the potential/field components is decided not just by its own corresponding nodal variables but by all the potential/field components at the other nodes. Accordingly no part of any field equation vanishes within any element. The method also provides an additional advantage of the availability of error indicators for both the potential and field calculations for any edge
