Abstract :
A data fusion approach is proposed to improve the performance of code division multiple access (CDMA) multiuser detection. More reliable detection is obtained at the switching center by fusing the detected results from the base stations. This method exploits the spatial diversity that already exists in the current system without increasing the amount of data transmission between base stations and the switching center. Theoretical analysis and numerical calculation demonstrate that significant improvement of performance can be achieved
