Abstract
The demand of energy is increasing day by day and the fossil fuels are moving towards the end. There comes the importance of non-ending sources like wind energy. The proposed system is a wind energy conversion system (WECS) consisting of wind turbine, permanent magnet generator (PMSG), rectifier, Z source inverter and a PWM controller. The voltage obtained from wind is to be boosted to considerable value. So a buck boost converter is used. Here buck boost converter is replaced by Z source inverter. The proposed system is modelled as equation models and also a PWM controller is also done to obtain a constant voltage at output so that it can easily connected to an induction machine. By using modified space vector modulation (MSVPWM) the performance of inverter is improved.
