Abstract :
A 340GHz two-beam folded waveguide (FW) traveling wave tube (TWT) is performed in the paper. The nonlinear beam-wave interaction in the TWT is investigated by the use a Particle-in-cell simulation code CHIPIC. The output power versus different beam current is calculated. Moreover, the effect of the distance between the two beam holes on the output power is also analyzed. The truncation and attenuation are introduced into the two-beam FW to reduce the reflection. The output power of the two models are compared. Results show that the two-section two-beam FW can increase the output power with less reflection.
