Abstract
This paper develops a FPGA-Based hardware platform on which antenna arraying combinations can be realized. The hardware platform consists of four units, i.e., intermediate frequency signals receiver, intermediate frequency signal output, frequency synthesizer and FPGA. The strategy is implemented through designing with a proper choice of chips and peripheral circuits for each unit. The designed units are tested separately in the first place and then integrated and tested as a system. The proposed system is capable of effectively processing four analog signals of intermediate frequency and generating the corresponding digital signals for digital signal processing unit. The system is also capable of outputting the combined signal in terms of analog signal of intermediate frequency as required. The effectiveness of antenna arraying combinations and other signal processing algorithms can be realized on the designed system.
