Abstract :
A small-scale thermoelectric dehumidifier was built and its operation characteristics were performed experimentally. The results showed that the thermoelectric dehumidifier works under the cooling dehumidification process and the isothermal dehumidification process. The relative humidity experiences two accelerating process and two reducing process, depending on the condensation behavior of cooling fins. There exists a peak during the variation of average COP and dehumidification rate with the input power of thermoelectric modules. The optimal input power is 6 W in this study, and the corresponding average COP and dehumidification rate is 0.16 and 0.00485 g/min, respectively.
