Abstract :
The forces acting between teeth during the mastication of food have not been determined exactly until now. The exact value of forces between mandibles is very important for the determination of forces in musculus temporalis, m. masserter and m. pterygoideus with regard to the predetermination of the deformations of the mandibles and the shifts (the stability and non-stability) of each tooth. The authors consider the development of special electronic devices with highly sensitive force sensors based on a strain gauge capable of measuring the real active forces (in real time) between a pair of teeth in opposite mandibles with minimal elevation
