Abstract :
Thermal behavior of building material using Phase Change Material (PCM) is investigated numerically and compared with traditional building materials. The energy equations for transient thermal analysis with associated periodic convection boundary conditions is solved numerically using two temperature model with the finite control volume approach following the Thomas algorithm. Good agreement between numerical results and physical reality for the melting/solidification process are obtained. A parametric study with different associated parameters is realized and results are presented.
