Abstract :
The cavity-backed resistance-loaded monopole antenna is analyzed and its broadband operation is shown for the frequencies 0.5 to 4.5 GHz. The input impedance and radiation characteristics are also examined. In the numerical analysis, the electromagnetic simulator "Fidelity", based on the finite-difference time-domain (FDTD) method, is used.
