Abstract :
A new broadband power combiner structure based on radial waveguide and broadband microstrip probe is presented. This power combiner is excited by an N-type connector, and stepped-impedance technology is used at the bottom of the radial waveguide to realize the impedance match. An eight-way radial waveguide power combiner over the X-band is designed, fabricated and measured. The measured results show a good agreement with the simulated results. The measured return loss is lower than -15 dB and the insertion loss is better than 1.8 dB from 8 to 12 GHz.
