Abstract :
In this paper, a dielectric loading gain enhanced balanced antipodal Vivaldi slotted antenna (BAVSA) using folded substrate integrated waveguide feeding structure is proposed. The feeding structure is based on folded substrate integrated waveguide (FSIW) structure which provides high Q-factors, low losses, a small size and allows a FSIW filter to integrate into the feeding structure. Further, the feeding structure can also get a good match with the proposed antenna. The proposed antenna operates over the frequency band from 6.9 GHz to 13 GHz with gain of 4.8dBi and low cross-polarization levels of less -50dB.
