Understanding botnet on Internet

The last decade has witnessed an unavoidable, significant role and impact of internet on the life of commons and specials. Let be science-technology, learning-education, trade-commerce, transport or social networking, it is so evident that internet is pervasive and has touched almost all the spheres of life. Internet is a full of malicious activity such as click fraud, spam etc. many of such type of activity is spread by the use of botnet. Botnet is a collection of compromise computer whose tendency to spread malicious activity. This paper presents the detail study of botnet activity on the internet. Paper focuses on the ways of attack from how attacker tries to enter and infect the vulnerable system. Paper exhibits the workability of botnet propagation and the way from which we can identifies the malware from the different tools.
