Patented Network Analysis on Cloud Computing Technology in Internet of Things

Internet of Things (IOT) is considered as the world´s third wave of the information industry after the inventions of computer and Internet. Cloud computing is among the key technologies in the scope of IOT. In this paper, we choose related patents of cloud computing technology between 1963-2014 from the Derwent Innovations Index database. We extract research technology-related patents of cloud computing, comprehensive utilization of patented metrology research methods and analysis of complex networks. Results show that China has a small number of R&D personnel, and there is no breakdown of the unique and leading technology, while the U.S. Companies have relatively strong R&D capabilities. It indicates us to reduce the gap between China and the U.S. In the development of cloud computing technology. China should promote the development and application of the core technology of cloud computing as soon as possible.
