  • Abstract
Analyzing the hip rotation angle data of several healthy young men with walking on ground and treadmill, it is found that the hip rotation angle curves of treadmill walking and level walking exist no significant differences in shape, while the amplitude, phase are slightly different. The stability of treadmill walking is poorer when comparing with level walking, and the fluctuation range of the hip rotation angle is about 2-3 times as level walking. The Fourier expansion function model is used to create a mathematical model of hip rotation angle of walking. The coefficients of the model are being compared, it is found that, the hip rotation angle curve of treadmill walking could be got by panning up the same curve of level walking with 8°-15.9°, and the phase of treadmill walking lags 4.5%-9.2% over walking on ground. These conclusions have some value in the field of sports training and medical rehabilitation.
