Abstract :
A new image compression system based on quadtreepartition and reversible integer time-domain lapped transform (RTDLT) as core transform technology is proposed. The system obtained transformation region of different sizes through quadtree partition to remove the correlation between the pixels by utilizing features of image regions. The performance of reversible integer discrete cosine transform (RDCT) was improved with the method of quadtree partition. Superior performance can be achieved in most cases than the fixed block RTDLT and RDWT about the rate-distortion and subjective visual quality.
