Abstract
Selected methods of spatial contour approximation proposed by Prof. A. Dziech and his Ph.D. students during recent years are presented in this paper. Compression abilities of these methods as well as their complexity are compared and confronted with capabilities of other acknowledged algorithms of spatial contour approximation. Results of above comparison are accordingly depicted and reported. Finally, advantages and drawbacks of each examined method are individually discussed and summed up.
