Abstract :
WiCoPT (Wireless Information / Communication and Power Transmission) was required for Smart and high efficiency microwave power transfer system. In this study, assuming the power transfer at C band and data transfer at K band, active devices such as a high power amplifier (HPA) with GaN HEMT and a compact amplifier with GaAs MMIC were designed. The measured GaN HPA input-output characteristics agreed with ADS simulation result. The maximum PAE and output power were 47.3 % and 44.8 dBm at 5.8 GHz, respectively. On the other hand, 9.97 dB gain was obtained from GaAs MMIC amplifier.
