Abstract :
In this paper, the design and development of a low-cost solar cell charger prototype for smartphones is presented. The prototype is the result from a scientific science fair in Mexico. The main idea behind this project is to contribute to the reduction of the global climate change by means of decreasing the consumption of energy derived from the growing use of smart phones. In addition, a basic control circuit is presented as well as the final prototype as a proof of concept.
