Implementation and Research on Key Techniques of Color Image Retrieval System Based on Regions of Interest

The method of design and implementation of image retrieval system based on regions of interest (ROI) is introduced in this article: First of all, the system´s main function is discussed, which is focused on human-computer interaction and real-time feature extraction. The retrieval system´s features are followed by the ROI to the color and spatial information for the ROI extraction, characterization, this regional characteristics matching method achieves a rapid and accurate way to retrieve. The results are showed that the retrieval algorithm is of high accuracy and retrieval recall, the system is made by user-friendly human-computer interaction, with good maintenance and scalability.
