Abstract :
The paper presents statistical optimization methodology based on the application of statistical macromodels of integrated circuits and Monte Carlo simulation results obtained in the statistical simulator IESD. Design centering and optimal tolerancing methods are combined. The statistical optimization methodology is implemented to optimize the stage for vertical sweep of a TV receiver, realized with the IC TDA1170S/N. Results from statistical simulations and measurement experiments for the initial and optimized TV stage are presented.
