Abstract :
A UHF/VHF LNA-less receiver is designed in 65nm CMOS for TV white-space long-range wireless sensor network applications. Noise cancelling and blocker-tolerant architecture is adopted for wide-band low-noise performance without a narrow-band LNA. The receiver consists of main- and auxiliary-path passive mixers, TIA, harmonic recombination block, and baseband filters, all of which are configured for noise cancellation. Operating between 80MHz and 1.15GHz, noise figure with 1GHz LO frequency is 1.9 dB. Blocker noise figure with 80MHz-offset 0dBm-blocker is 3.2 dB.
