  • Abstract
    This paper presents a Ring Projection Transforms (RPT) for recognizing object in robot manufacturing automation system. Our proposed method is based on CUDA (Compute Unified Device Architecture), which is a kind of GPGPU (General-Purpose computing on Graphics Processing Units). Compared with the conventional method without utilizing CUDA, our method achieves better performance in terms of processing time. The experimental validation indicates that our proposed method is faster about 35 times and reliable for recognizing object in real-time automation system.
