Abstract :
This paper studies the norm of a mixed Hankel-Toeplitz operator that appears in the H∞ mixed sensitivity problem. A new Hamiltonian formula for the maximal singular value of the operator is derived without using any basis. An advantage of the approach is that it does not require state transformation matrices in the formula as found in the literature
