Abstract
The aim of the paper is to enhance the bandwidth and directivity of micro-strip antenna array of size 2×1 with multidielectric layers. Selection of substrate layer with proper thickness and permittivity shows significant increase in bandwidth and directivity. The paper focuses on designing of array for X-band applications. The array design operates at 10GHz. Simulation of results shows an increase of 3% in bandwidth when compared to array with single dielectric layer. Analysis of return loss, antenna gain, power, directivity and bandwidth has been done. The simulation of the results has been done in the ADS (Advanced Design System).
