A review of the installation and monitoring of electric vehicle charge points at London Underground car parks

This paper will provide an overview of the project undertaken by UK Power Networks Services to install 60 dual outlet Electric Vehicle (EV) charge posts (each post consisting of two individual charge points) over 12 London Underground car parks in July 2013. It will present an overview on EVs, a review of the major phases of the installation process and key observations from the project. It will also provide data on the utilisation of the charge posts and an introduction to the use of an Active Network Management system.
