Abstract :
Individuals, organizations and society have dealt with various kinds of data for hundreds of years. But only in recent years that arose into a new challenge, which is Big Data. This topic is popular in various fields, because it can provide new insights on working system, social engineering, even management and much more. Big Data is thus becoming a technologically attractive field in both science and industry. The paper provides an overview to the nature of Big Data, its challenges, but also some insights into how it may be used in working infrastructure of any information related company. Several real life examples provided in this paper will give a better insight into how it works and how it can inspire more ideas on how to leverage existing data resources to create new knowledge.
