Reconfigurable conformal antenna array for non-rigid platforms

This paper presents conformal antenna arrays for mounting on non-rigid cylindrical structure. The method of calculation of the excitation phase shifts for the individual elements of the array is presented; the calculated phase shifts have been used in the design of conformal antenna array. The measured results show a decent match. The use of analog DMTL phase shifter in the antenna array has been demonstrated to achieve pattern reconfigurability.
