Abstract
Real-time monitoring of lung function parameters is of crucial importance in patients requiring respiratory assistance. In the present work we applied a recently proposed recursive method to on-line estimation of respiratory resistance and elastance in different pathologies. The approach provides stable and reliable parameter estimates even in critical patients
