Abstract :
In this work, we propose a dynamic Inter-Cell Interference Coordination (ICIC) and scheduling for LTE-A system. The objective is to enhance edge users´ throughput and guaranty fairness among all users in the cell. Based on Reference Signal Receiving Power (RSRP) values collected from a set of collaborative base stations, users are classified into: cell edge or cell center. Then, a simple static power allocation technique is used. Neighboring cells coordinate their scheduling and resource allocation to improve edge users´ throughput. To do so, we proposed a cooperation technique based on a dynamic Base Stations (BS)s clustering with a reduced signaling overhead. For scheduling purpose, we introduce a utility function which depends on users´ classification, Channel Quality Indicator (CQI) feedback, interference generated by neighboring cells and fairness among users. The proposed ICIC and scheduling techniques present a trade-off between the implementation complexity, the overhead of signaling and the coordination level. Simulation results corroborate the efficiency of the proposed technique.
