  • Abstract
    In order to improve the efficiency of multiple induction motors (IMs), loss optimization drive is presented by coordination control. The total loss of two IMs with influence of torque distribution is analyzed in three excitation current models. The total loss of two IMs running in single motor mode and double motor mode are calculated by the loss model of IM. Then, the critical torque value of modes changing is achieved according to the derivative relationship between torque current and excitation current. Combination with torque distribution and mode changing, the loss optimized control of two IMs is proposed. The experiment results in our multiple IMs platform prove that the proposed strategy can improve the efficiency of two motors drive system in different load condition.
