Abstract
On the basis of visual observations showing that there is a geometrical pattern for the dust layer deposited in an electrostatic precipitator, we seek to characterize the physical phenomena leading to such a deposit. Following experiments of precipitation, we present the first results on the dynamics of the collection and the size distribution of the powder according to the zones of collection. We then propose the first confrontation of these results with the Deutsch model as well as a first possible explanation of these results
