Abstract
The paper discusses the significance and development foreground of integration between wireless local area network (WLAN) and B3G mobile cellular network in composite radio context. The concept of composite reconfigurable wireless network is introduced in the paper, and the development of future wireless communication systems is also discussed. The basic configuration framework of network interoperation is given, and the functions of important parts are analyzed. We propose a management platform for co-operation between WLAN and cellular network, adding several models to the original systems. In this paper, the solutions to network access problems for two types of mobile terminals (MTs), i.e. reconfigurable MTs and non-reconfigurable MTs, are also discussed. So particularly, the flow chart and the main programs for reconfigurable MTs with 3G registration accessing to WLAN are drawn. Then the access method and detailed processes for non-reconfigurable MTs without 3G registration are also shown.
