  • Abstract
Although stategic military systems have definitely lagged behind their commercial counterparts, they are rapidly being updated. Military communications is becoming both more complicated and more capable. However, monitoring and control of this necessary tool has continued to lag behind both its civilian cousin and the communication systems themselves. If properly implemented, monitoring and control can provide greater efficiency, additional connectivity, enhanced restoral, and reconstitution. This paper takes a brief look at some of the programs currently underway at RADC to solve some immediate monitoring and control needs. It then turns to look into the future and proposes a course of action for U.S. military system control planners.
