Abstract
In the paper we focus on the problem of improving the efficiency of the peer-to-peer connection establishment for the recently suggested Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) protocol. We suggest a novel Accelerated Connection Establishment (ACE) mechanism which enables to significantly reduce the time and energy consumption for establishing the connection between BLE devices in the multi-node scenarios. We discuss in details the background of the problem, introduce the suggested solution, and present the results of BLE network simulations, which confirm the efficiency of the suggested mechanism.
