Abstract
The matrix converter can connect three phase input power source directly to three-phase load. Without the need for a fictitious dc link, it has many advantages in comparison with traditional topologies, such as unity input power factor, bi-directional power flow, sinusoidal input and output currents and small size etc. So in recent years more and more attention has been paid to it. This paper dedicates to describe the direct modulation method of matrix converter, DSP configuration and program method based on a low cost, fixed-point DSP, and the control software flow chart is described in details. Experimental results have already verified the validation of this three-phase matrix converter.
