Abstract

This paper focuses on mobile technologies used for personal and professional purposes. The questionnaire was applied to monitor the state among bachelor technical and engineering students at the Faculty of Informatics and Management, University of Hradec Kralove, Czech Republic. The 12-item questionnaire collected information on various mobile devices (PC, notebook, netbook, tablet, smartphone, mobile phones, others) and their use for communication with friends and family, for study and professional matters, for entertainment or search for information for education, further education, profession and interests. The results are reflected in the methology of Blackboard Mobile application which will be used since 2014/15 academic year.
