  • Abstract
    The current trend of applications convergence in electronic devices has been gaining a lot of momentum. The tiny handsets of today are incorporating features such as camera, MP3 player, gaming, global positioning systems, and numerous other personalized (such as address book, calendar, memo pad etc.) applications. Unfortunately these applications have emerged in isolation without any considerations for coexistence and compatibility thus delaying the convergence in an efficient and cost effective manner. This paper presents a novel approach towards accelerating multimodal application convergence exploiting intrinsic functional characteristics and leveraging the principles of object oriented programming.
