Abstract :
We introduce Network Edge Security, a new distributed firewall architecture designed to counter the insider threat, which is undeterred by existing firewall implementations. Network Edge Security also addresses the security challenges of emerging technology trends like mobile computing, business to business computing and virtual private networks (VPNs). We describe the architecture and the rationale for its design, then we illustrate its application
