Abstract :
To enhance the damping of microwave magnetization dynamics, we investigate the effect of Dy-doping into Fe65Co35 thin films. The increase of Dy-doping reduces the saturation magnetization substantially. The coercivities decrease largely after Dy-doping, ascribed to the grain refinement. The damping factor increases as expected due to the enhanced orbital-spin coupling by Dy-doping. Other than the high Dy-concentration, the tuning by sputtering gas pressure is also effective in enhancing the damping, avoiding the remarkable decrease of resonance frequency.
