Abstract
This work analyses the performance of the optical code division access passive optical network (OCMDA-PON) with power control mechanisms under the perspective of geographic distribution of the multiple access interference (MAI). The impact of the geographic interference distribution on the power consumption network, as well as the robustness of the deployed power control Verhulst-based algorithm are investigated as as function of the quality of the power control response and the convergence speed feature of the algorithm.
