  • Abstract
    A molecular dynamics simulation of a 2-D system of charged dust particles was performed, taking into account the dipole moments of dust particles. The impact of a nonzero dipole moment on the structural properties of the system was analyzed on the basis of a pair correlation function. The possible method of the experimental observation of the dipole interaction between dust particles and that of the measurement of the dust particle´s dipole moment in gas discharge complex plasmas are discussed.
