Abstract :
Average power spectral density is calculated by the Aulin-Sundberg method adapted to multiamplitude continuous phase modulation (MACPM) signals. Arbitrary baseband symbol pulse shapes and durations, the modulation indices, the number of symbol levels, their probabilities and different amplitude values of the larger CPM signal component can be used. The upper bounds on the normalized minimum squared Euclidean distances are calculated for full-response MACPM signals. The energy-bandwidth tradeoff is presented.
