Abstract
Our work is focused on a compact antenna design with a planar structure suitable for an array configuration. We present a detailed numerical investigation of the miniaturized "dark eyes" antenna (Kanj et al. (2004)) intended for use in the microwave range, in particular, its S/sub 11/ parameter, radiation efficiency and fidelity.
