  • Abstract
We will show how to unify maximum entropy (MaxEnt) and maximum likelihood (MaxLik) principles into a unique concept overcoming the above mentioned problems. The MaxLik estimation assisted by MaxEnt is capable to handle any noisy data and to provide the most likely and most unbiased solution without any additional assumptions. In this sense it posseses all the features of objective inference method for solution of inverse problems of various kind. Since the given number and precision of the scans can yield only a finite resolution in the sample, the MaxLik assisted by MaxEnt estimation will be adopted for the formulation of the sampling theorem.
