Abstract :
Reservoir power stations are the most appropriate mechanism for achieving production of the peak power, next to the pumped storage power stations and run-of-river power stations. The optimum hydro power station chain operation of the flow accumulation requires the adjustment of the river flow along the entire hydro power station chain. This article deals with the feasibility of attaining additional peak power generation along the chain of hydro power stations on the river Drava. The two central problems emerging at hydro power stations on the river Drava are the reduced installed flow at Dravograd HPS. The main purpose of this research has been to exploit all the technical possibilities for the rise of the installed flow in Dravograd HPS, in addition to offer its financial feasibility
